Common reasons a download may fail
A failed download does not always mean something is broken. These are the usual causes.
The content is private
Posts restricted to followers or set to private cannot be accessed by any downloader.
The post was deleted or removed
If the creator or the platform removed the post, the media no longer exists to download.
The media type is not supported
Some posts use formats we do not handle yet, such as live streams still in progress.
The content is region restricted
Certain videos are only available in specific countries, which blocks access from elsewhere.
The platform is rate limiting requests
Platforms sometimes slow down repeated requests. Waiting a few minutes usually resolves it.
The link is incomplete
Shortened or partially copied links can point nowhere. Copy the full link from the share menu.
