Saving Twitch Clips and Streamable Videos

Clips disappear when channels are deleted. Here is how to keep a copy of the ones that matter.

Clips are less permanent than they look

A Twitch clip lives on the channel that created it. If that channel is deleted or the VOD is removed, the clip usually goes with it. Anyone who has tried to find a highlight from two years ago knows how that ends.

Streamable has its own expiry behaviour on older free uploads. If a link matters to you, take a copy while it resolves.

How to save one

  • On Twitch, open the clip page and copy the URL. Both clips.twitch.tv and the /clip/ form work.
  • On Streamable, copy the short link from the address bar.
  • Paste into the matching Clearlla downloader.
  • Pick the highest listed quality and download.

What is out of scope

  • Full VODs and live streams are not supported, only clips.
  • Subscriber-only and deleted clips cannot be read.
