How to Copy the Right Share Link on Each Supported App
Most failed pastes come from copying the wrong kind of link. Here is what to copy on each platform Clearlla supports.
The short answer
Copy the link to the single post, clip, or file you want, not the profile, feed, or channel it sits in. On most apps that link is under a Share button. App menus change between versions, so the exact wording below may differ slightly on your phone.
Platform by platform
TikTok
Tap Share on the video, then Copy link. Both tiktok.com links and short vm.tiktok.com links work.
Tap Share on the post and copy the link. Paste the post link, not the link to the subreddit or a user profile.
Open the pin, tap Share, then copy the link. pinterest.com/pin/ links and pin.it short links both work. Board links do not, because a board is a collection rather than a single pin.
Streamable
Copy the video page address, which looks like streamable.com followed by a short code.
Twitch
Clearlla saves clips. Open the clip and use Share to copy its link. A link to a channel or a live stream is not a clip.
Bluesky
Open the post menu or share button and copy the link to the post. The link contains /post/ followed by an ID.
Mastodon
Use the post's menu to copy its link. Links from any instance work, as long as the post is public.
Telegram
In a public channel, open the message menu and copy the post link. It looks like t.me/channelname/123. Links from private chats and groups cannot be read.
Discord
Right-click the attachment and copy its link, or long-press it on mobile. You need the attachment link from Discord's CDN, not a discord.com/channels message link.
YouTube
Tap Share under the video, then Copy link. Clearlla will offer the thumbnail only, not the video.
Do tracking parameters matter?
Shared links often carry extra text after a question mark that tells the platform who shared them. You can paste the link as it is. Clearlla only needs the part that identifies the post.
