One Downloader for Every Platform Clearlla Supports

Why running ten separate downloader sites makes no sense, and how Clearlla handles every supported platform from a single paste box.

Why one tool beats ten

Every platform stores video differently. TikTok stamps a watermark on the in-app save. Reddit splits video and audio into two separate files. Twitch serves clips through a signed URL that expires. Once you are saving clips from four or five sites in a week, you end up with four or five sketchy tabs open, each with its own ad wall.

Clearlla collapses that into one input. Paste a link and the platform is detected before you press Download. The interface is identical whether the link came from TikTok or Vimeo.

What Clearlla can save today

This list is the real one. If a platform is not on it, there is no working downloader for it, and any page it has is clearly labelled In Development.

  • TikTok videos and slideshows without watermarks, plus the original MP3 audio
  • Reddit videos with audio merged back in, GIFs, and gallery images
  • Pinterest static pins and video pins at original resolution
  • Streamable clips as direct MP4 files
  • Twitch clips, including the source-quality rendition
  • Bluesky image posts and galleries (video is not supported yet)

How it works underneath

Each platform gets its own extractor that knows the right way to pull media: merging Reddit's split streams, requesting TikTok's unwatermarked source, picking the best Vimeo rendition. Everything above that layer is shared, which is why the paste box, the preview card, and the download flow feel the same everywhere.

Adding the next platform is a matter of shipping a new extractor and passing certification, not redesigning the site. Anything still in progress lives on the roadmap rather than in the navigation.

Supported, Limited, and In Development

Platforms carry one of three public labels. Supported means the whole path has been tested end to end: detection, extraction, metadata, and error handling. Limited means it works for a defined subset, and the platform page spells out exactly which subset. In Development means downloads are switched off while work continues.

Bluesky is a good example of limited support. Image posts work well; video is delivered as an HLS stream, which Clearlla does not convert, so we say so rather than quietly failing.
