Why Clearlla Doesn't Support Instagram or X Yet
Both are on the roadmap as In Development. Neither ships until it works reliably, and here is what stands in the way.
The short answer
Clearlla does not download from Instagram or X today. Both are listed as In Development on the roadmap, which means work is planned or underway but there is no working downloader on the site. If you paste an Instagram or X link, Clearlla will tell you it is not supported rather than attempt it.
Reliable public extraction from Instagram requires session handling that Clearlla has not validated end to end. Many tools reach Instagram content by signing in with accounts behind the scenes. That approach breaks often and sits uncomfortably with the platform's rules, so it is not one Clearlla will ship.
X (formerly Twitter)
The way X provides access to posts has changed several times. Clearlla is waiting for a stable path to public media before building on it, rather than shipping something that might stop working the following week.
Why not ship something that mostly works?
Because a download button that fails half the time costs you more time than no button at all. Clearlla's rule is that a platform is listed as Supported or Limited only once it has passed testing against real public posts. Until then, it stays on the roadmap with an honest note.
What you can use today
Clearlla currently works with TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, Streamable, Twitch, and Mastodon as Supported platforms, and Bluesky, Telegram, Discord, and YouTube as Limited ones. The roadmap page shows the current stage of everything else.
